Rack Plating
Rack plating is designed for parts that are too big to be barrel plated or that may be damaged in the tumbling process. Rack plating significantly lowers the risk of bending or distortion of parts.
Rack plating involves hanging parts on a rack in carefully designed configurations. The racks are then submerged in a plating solution. Hooks or bands are used to secure parts to the rack and may produce an area that is commonly referred to as the rack mark.
Cody Metal Finishing has extensive experience in rack configurations and plating process providing uniform and high-quality coating. Contact us to review the requirements of your job.
